Sadie Rebecca Starnes is an artist and writer from North Carolina. Now based in Brooklyn, she has held multiple solo exhibitions between New York and Tokyo. A speculative futurist, her exhibitions consider the effects of global warming in the art world, post-apocalyptic art criticism and, most recently, radiation as a musical instrument. She has worked in a wide range of media—from oil paint to Super 8mm, Geiger counters to wheat grass—in venues around the world. Now living in Brooklyn, she regularly contributes art, music and film reviews to the Brooklyn Rail while practicing art.
